I exhibited work to sell at Sally Evan’s craft Fair at Waddesdon Manor. This was mainly engraved work, and mostly vessels. Some of this work will be available at my Open Studios event – from the 9th – 24th June. 2012.

Dappled Shade

Dappled Shade used a variety of flashed and pot metal glass – some handmade and some machine rolled. I sandblasted some of the shapes, and then engraved around them, using a variety of different wheels.

Healing Herbs Window for Rothbury Community Hospital. September 2006

The Healing Herbs window was created by engraving drawings made by primary school children. Some sections were kiln-formed and sandblasted

Anonymity

A stained glass window for Eton College Drawing schools. Completed as part of a year long residency/

“Anonymity” is a visual response to the preoccupation in schools for creating lists of names. These will record achievements, and acknowledge the presence of an individual. Both officially and unofficially, names of past and present boys can be found throughout Eton. It will remain to be seen which names recorded in the window will be remembered in years to come.

Butterflies

A mobile of butterflies suspended from fishing line threads. The butterflies are made from surveillance mirror which reflects the natural light coming in the window, and makes light patterns move constantly in the air. Each butterfly is engraved with a unique pattern.
